Our Programs
Little Lions History Literacy Program
The Little Lions History Literacy Program is a youth literacy initiative founded by Shelly Smith and developed through the work of the Boston Chapter of the Black Lion Party for International Solidarity.
The program provides children in grades K–8 with access to books that highlight Black history, Indigenous history, civil rights movements, and stories of community empowerment.
Through book drives and community support, we aim to expand access to meaningful educational resources and help young people build literacy, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
